Levi Stubbs, the lead singer of Motown's legendary Four Tops and the cinematic voice of Audrey II, passed away today at the age of 72.Stubbs played the man-eating plant in the 1986 movie version of the Off-Broadway musical Little Shop of Horrors. In the film, he memorably sang the Academy Award nominated "Mean Green Mother from Outer Space", a performance he would repeat on the Oscar telecast.
